FAQs
Attendees at Bangkok Music City may have a variety of questions about the performances and other aspects of the event. For your convenience, we’ve compiled this helpful list of frequently asked questions and answers.
A1: Bangkok Music City 2027 will take place on 30–31 January 2027 in the Charoenkrung Creative District. Performance times will be announced soon.
A2: There are eight stages in total. Activities include showcase performances by Thai and international artists, as well as conference panels, with further details to be announced soon.
A3: There is currently one pass type available:
FREE EVENT PASS – Complimentary access to festival performances.
To attend for free, please download the Bangkok Music City (BMC) app and register within the app to receive your personal QR code. This QR code can be scanned to enter and exit each performance area and will be valid for performances across all stages throughout the festival.
Please Note:
Due to venue capacity limits and to ensure the best experience for all attendees, the organiser reserves the right to limit the number of visitors admitted to each stage in accordance with safety measures and designated venue capacity. When attendees leave a performance area, those waiting in line will be admitted in order. This process ensures fair and orderly access for everyone.
A4: Steps to receive a QR Code for free entry:
Download or open the Bangkok Music City (BMC) app.
Select the menu “Register for Free Entry”.
Fill in all required information to complete registration.
Once registered, you will receive a QR Code to scan for entry and exit throughout both event days.
To view your QR Code again during the event (January 24–25, 2026), go to “Ticket & Registration” select “My QR Code”, and enter the email used during registration.
Scan your QR Code every time you enter and exit the stage area. You cannot reuse a QR Code without scanning out first.
Please note:
The QR Code for event access can only be activated through the BMC app. Screenshots or photos of the QR Code are not accepted.
Registration opens on September 7 at 04:00 PM and will remain open until all passes are claimed.
A5: Everyone wishing to attend Bangkok Music City 2027 must register through the Bangkok Music City (BMC) app to receive a QR code. Visitors who have not registered in advance will not be able to participate in the event activities.
A6: Registration does not guarantee entry to every showcase stage or conference session. Due to venue capacity limits and to ensure the best possible experience for all attendees, the organiser reserves the right to limit admission to each performance area based on venue size and safety requirements.
When attendees leave a performance area, those waiting will be admitted in order to ensure fair and orderly access for everyone. If a Music Showcase stage is at full capacity, you may choose to visit another stage with available space.
A7: The opening times will be announced one week before the event begins.
A8: During registration, attendees can choose either a one-day or two-day QR code, depending on their preference. Select the date(s) you wish to attend through the Bangkok Music City (BMC) app.
A9: Yes, they can attend, but cannot purchase age-restricted beverages, which are not sold to anyone under 20. Attendance is not recommended for children under 12 due to standing-only areas.
A10: Check the map available in the Bangkok Music City (BMC) app.
A11: Yes, parking is available around the event area, but attendees are responsible for their own parking fees.
However, bringing a personal car is not recommended. Public transportation is suggested, such as the MRT, exiting at Hua Lamphong Station, Exit 1.
A12: Please note the following prohibited items:
Professional cameras of any kind
Tripods / selfie sticks
Tablets / laptops larger than 7 inches
Drones
Smoking / e-cigarettes / cannabis
Flammable materials / fireworks
Laser pointers / flashlights
Drugs
Weapons of any kind / metal chains
Unauthorized banners / banners larger than A4
Political signs / symbols
Ladders / folding chairs
Cans / glass bottles / sharp objects
Large bags / long umbrellas
Pets
Additional restrictions may apply; please check on-site. Bringing prohibited items is not recommended, as there is no storage service and the organizer is not responsible for lost valuables.
